“Stand for something or fall for anything, that’s code for me” a saying that’s considered words to live by from Reek. Born & Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, life was a battle for this hard-headed youth, but he persevered and overcame each struggle time and time again. Coming from a broken home Reeko helped develop a strong bond with his mother, but not so much his father, which officially left the household at 4; Pushing Reek to get his lessons of manhood from the streets of the city. Having moved from home to home since, it became second nature having to adapt to each community. From Carolina to New York in 6th grade, New York to Pennsylvania in the 8th, and from PA back down to NC attending 9 grade school’s total. At age 12, being in a situation in which he felt confined to his environment, he decided to start writing about it. Having watched the cypher era of hip hop this influenced the fresh-faced emcee to start battling. Whether it was a lunch table or sidewalk Reek fled wherever the cypher scene was at. The crowd response was undeniable, he didn’t know what it was yet, but he had something. Continuing to grow his sound in freestyles and songs, Reeko hit the studio freshman year of high school after being introduced to a local producer which eventually would offer him his first Recording contract at 16. The sound not yet being developed, and the pace not moving fast enough, he decided to move on independently.

Once moving back to Raleigh, Reeko began to find ways to get his music out via social media. Along with his cousin "Phantom" he hit the studio and learned the craft of recording. In May 2011, Senior year of high school, The Mixtape entitled "On My Way 2 Space" was released and the dream started to become all too real.  People who once doubted him were becoming believers. The people who never heard of him wanted copies of the project. And once taking over the speakers of the school, copies started to move throughout the city streets. Reeko continued the process for months to come and never looked back releasing more projects such as "HMM" with fellow indie-label mate D.Curtains in 2012; as Well as the Wake-Up call known as “On Everything I Love”. Eventually after developing the trap-melody he calls the “trap’d’ sound, he learned a finesse with wordplay and tying moving song structure into real life tracks, giving us what we see today as Reeko Rokk. An undeniable talent for music and continuous love from keep this work-horse running. These days we can find reek on many reputable sites such as Spinrilla, YouTube, SoundCloud, Datpiff, and many more hip-hop blogs. As the numbers and fans grow so does the personal progression! It is easy to see this one is destined for greatness. More big looks such as debut iTunes/Spotify album and Vevo channel are already underway. Be on the lookout for this young legend as he may very well be the next to blow!
